Dr. Joseph D. Kepo’o was born on Edwards Air Force Base in California, but spent his time growing up in Utah. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. “Dr. Joe” as his patients know him, received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, taking full advantage of and certifying in the College’s specialized training in Chiropractic BioPhysics®. He also holds multiple advanced certifications in NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique); as well as other specialized treatment processes including EVOX® Perception Reframing; Emotion Code, Body Code, Energetic Medicine, and Zyto® Biocommunication.
Dr. Joe’s specialty is the sensitive and energetic interaction he has with his patients. Reading the body’s own energetic communication is a skill he has mastered and uses to help patients learn and facilitate what needs to be addressed during the treatment process. Through this unique approach, he is able to treat patients in the most effective way possible; achieving positive and often life-changing results.
Dr. Joe lives in Pleasant Grove with his lovely wife Helen and their four children. When he can find the time, he loves to play ice hockey, and taking his family to Disneyland.
Dr. Donald J. Whittaker received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer Chiropractic College West in San Jose, California in 1983. He furthered his skills and became proficient in Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP), having received training directly from the founder of the technique, Dr. Donald D. Harrison, DC, PhD, MSE (1946-2011). Dr. Whittaker has also been trained in additional chiropractic techniques including Thompson, Diversified, as well as others.
Motivated through his study of and certification in the energetic treatment practices of the Emotion Code, the Body Code, and NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique), Dr. Whittaker has personally developed a number of divers energetic healing techniques of his own, including magnetic switching and light displacement. In his ‘spare time’ he also serves as a District Leader for the Utah Chiropractic Physicians Association.
Dr. Whittaker and his wife, Jeannine, are the parents of three children and grandparents of a lovely granddaughter. When he’s not busy being ‘grandpa’, Dr. Whittaker enjoys playing the guitar, camping and hiking, and singing in the Orem Chorale Community Choir.
Dr. Brian Massimini found his passion for healthcare as a young soccer player in southern California. After tearing his ACL his senior year in high school, he was introduced to physical therapy and the world of the healing arts. “Dr. Brian” received both his Masters Degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. There, he worked closely with local medical doctors to expand his education in divers approaches to healing the body.
He has completed extensive work in cooperation with medical experts in providing lumbar injections for back pain and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections to help restore joint integrity, and then help apply a rehabilitation program for those patients. Following graduation, Dr. Brian completed a Master’s internship in Mesa, Arizona, in upper cervical and brain injury rehabilitation. Following his internship, he devoted a period of time in Pennsylvania to attending to the occupational health needs of the natural gas industry.
Dr. Brian is a nationally certified drug and alcohol trainer and a nationally certified medical examiner, trained in performing DOT physicals.
Dr. Brian and his wife, Whitney, live in Mapleton, Utah with their six children.
Lori Van Moos grew up in California and later attended BYU. She has worked in many offices throughout her adult life, but since coming to Ohana in July 2012, she has felt right at home. Lori has been married 27 years. She and her husband have seven children, and two grandchildren with another on the way. Her favorite activities include crafting, sewing, and spending time with family.
Mandalyn Rich received her LMT from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in October 2011 and began working for Ohana in in June 2012. Married for sixteen years, she is the mother of three girls that keep her very busy with dance and swimming lessons. In her ‘spare’ time, Mandalyn enjoys just hanging out with family and friends.
Brenda Walker is another great addition to the Ohana family joining us in July 2012. Brenda skillfully manages the front desk but also enjoys working as a licensed massage therapist. She has five children and three grandchildren and in her spare time, enjoys decorating her home and beautifying her yard and garden, hanging out with family, and when possible, traveling to exotic places.
